The Bear Trace at Ross Creek Landing was designed by Jack Nicklaus, one in a set of courses designed by the legend throughout the state, and works with the natural environment to create a game of exceptional natural beauty. The 18-hole course offers five sets of tees for a game up to 7,131 yards long. Starting in 2003, the course won the title of "Number 1 Public Course in Tennessee" from Golfweek for four years running. It is a 19 mile drive from Savannah to the course, and only two miles from Clifton.
